Here are some recent additions..
l have been using Eco products for the last 6 months and find that they last longer and do the same as the high street products. The only difference is that l know they are safe for my family and children. The bottles can be recycled. lf anyone wants to know more please feel free to contact me and l will be glad to pass on more information. Elizabeth Brennan
I’m interested in how this stacks up with people being encouraged to travel (and presumably to take long-haul flights), just after the tsunami disaster, earlier this year – to help with building local and tourist economies. Responding to Cheap Flights – grown-ups go almost free

While we definitely need better recycling facliities there is a danger with the increasing habit of them being sited at supermarkets. If they were sited near local shopping areas, public libraries, or at the entrance to public parks then they would be less likely to draw people into supermarkets. Local council planning needs to play a part in this as permission is being denied in places where recycling facilities are needed; as supermarkets usually own the land they are sited on there is no problem with permission for them. I will look into this in more detail. Responding to news item – 21st Century Route for Rubbish

As a hobby and part time business I restore overgrown coppice and woodland. The piece of woods I am restoring, has a footpath running through it, which is regulary used by walkers etc. Sometimes people say what a good job you are doing, others see me as a vandal who is destroying trees and habitats. I try to explain that what I do is good not only for the woodland but also the flora and fauna. Most believe me, but I am sure not all. Because I am in the woods with a chainsaw and sell logs and coppice timber, it does not mean I don’t care. On the contrary I care with a passion. As a footnote does using chainsaws frighten the local bird population, in my opinion no – as soon as the saw stops, the birds are all around.

(grownupgreen thinks you may find the new BTCV Slot might address some of these issues.
How about playing the chocolate game at your next children’s or grownup’s party? Pass a dice around. When a 6 is thrown the thrower puts on hat scarf and gloves, picks up a knife and fork and starts eating a bar of chocolate – Fairtrade of course!! But hurry because as soon as the next person throws a 6 you have to hand over the clothes to them to have a go.
